A beautiful copy of a Francesco Ruggieri violin made around 1925 in London by George Wulme-Hudson. You can read more about this maker if you follow this

This violin is accompanied by a Certificate from Kenneth Warren & Son, Ltd of Chicago dated May 1981, with accompanying photos. The back is formed of one piece of maple, handsome wood selection holding an intense horizontal figure running across it's breadth.

Width of the upper bout is 167mm or 6 1/2" full
Width of the lower bout is 204mm or 8 1/16"
Width of middle bout is 113mm or 4 7/16"

The ribs are also of maple, narrow flame. The top is of spruce, mostly fine grain throughout, slightly wider at the flanks. The scroll is original. Varnish is a deep brownish-red color laid on evenly. The condition of the violin is excellent.
